It's that time of the year again...
1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Visited Rome and Barcelona!
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Err um. Should have written the promise down, as I've completely forgotten what it was. So I'm guessing what it was, and pretty sure I didn't keep it...
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, a few friends; second wave of baby boom again.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, am so happy about that.
5. What countries did you visit?
Spain and Italy, very lovely indeed.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
Positivity. Better & regular communication.
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Ah well I don't remember the exact numbers of the date, but the day itself; receiving bad news in a public place does that to you.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Hmm. Switched jobs, and I'm really glad I did, because looking at the statistics, I might have been among the people getting the boot a few weeks ago at the old work place...
9. What was your biggest failure?
I let people bring me down. I will cover myself with an emotional teflon surface this year, where nothing negative sticks...
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Sinus infections but I've decided to stop noticing them. Maybe they'll go away by themselves?
11. What was the best thing you bought?
This was a bad shopping karma year, didn't buy that much. The trip to Rome most likely :)
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My family's. They do make this all worth a while.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Some nasty surprises here, a few people I thought I knew...
14. Where did most of your money go?
Hmm. air plane tickets?
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Seeing Rufus Wainwright, Leonard Cohen & Foo Fighters live!
16. What songs will always remind you of 2008?
Rufus Wainwright - Going to a Town, Scott Simons - Umbrella, Scott Matthew - Abandoned
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? sadder
ii. thinner or fatter? fatter. ffs.
iii. richer or poorer? richer
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
exercise
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
worrying, reacting to other people's (often bad) behaviour
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Spent it at home :)
21. How will you be spending New Years?
Spent it with friends and my lil goddaughter. Have not laughed so much for ages, it was a wonderful way to start the new year :)

Continued to be in love.

29. What did you want and not get?
To go to Barcelona on a non-work trip; will have to do that this year.
30. What was your favourite film of this year?
Ooh well. this is a tough one. The 2/3 of latest Batman movie that I'd call "The Joker movie" instead.

A few new colleagues have made my work days much more fun
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008.
It's tough to keep on thinking positively if you yourself and others around you keep arguing against it.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
The storm is coming but I don't mind
People are dying, I close my blinds
All that I know is I'm breathing now
I want to change the world
Instead I sleep
I want to believe in more than you and me
But all that I know is I'm breathing
All I can do is keep breathing
All we can do is keep breathing now
